Incisione in rame in coloritura. mm 605x490. Foglio: mm 618x540. Due tavole in unico foglio dall'opera di John Senex, A New General Atlas, containing a Geographical and Historical Account of all the Empires, Kingdoms and other Dominions of the World, London 1721. Le due carte sono versioni successive di quelle pubblicate nel 1699 da Robert Hacke e Robert Morden. Senex rimosse le responsabilità precedenti e cambiò la dedica da Lord John Sommers a John Haldane. Le mappe riportano l'ubicazione della sfortunata colonia scozzese di Nuova Edimburgo (popolarmente conosciuta come Darien Scheme) fondata dalla Company of Scotland. La dedica a John Haldane di Gleneagles è un riconoscimento al suo ruolo di direttore della Company of Scotland.



Esemplare con margini come in origine. Piega di legatura al centro aperta a un'estremità. Lieve diffuso ingiallimento con alcuni punti più intensi. Abrasioni lungo la piega centrale. Lievi impronte di colore. Segni d'uso.
