Paesaggio con buoi al carro.

1650 ca.

Acquaforte. mm 263x204. Hollstein, 2. Firmata “Both fe.” sulla lastra in alto a destra. Da Collection of 17 etchings from landscapes of the environs of Rome, 1650 ca. Dal 1634 al 1637 Jan Both fu allievo di Gerard van Honthorst. Come suo fratello Andries Both,  anch'egli artista, lavorò per un periodo a Roma dove venne in contatto con Claude Lorrain con il quale collaborò ad una serie di dipinti di paesaggio. 

 



Ottima prova su carta pesante in tiratura di fine XVIII secolo. Applicata in alto a vecchio supporto; margini di 1/2 mm oltre la linea d’inquadramento. Conservazione ottima.
