Folio (mm 272x192). 215 leaves (of 216, missing the first blank leaf). Signatures a10 (-a11, missing the first blank leaf), b-h8, i10, l10, k-q10, q-s8, t-u10, x-y8. Complete as described in the tabula cartarum, but often found with an index of 8 leaves (the copy of the BnP coincides with that given here) not reported by the printers. Nineteenth Century quarter vellum binding, smooth spine. Notes in red and black. Rubricated. Very good copy, with a large painted Renaissance border. Three ex libris handwritten from the 16th Century on the first and last leaves.



Editio princeps. Nello stesso anno 1476 (ma il 17 luglio), venne pubblicata un'altra edizione dal Valdarfer a Milano. Sotto il titolo Summa naturalium si stamparono i commenti alla Fisica e alla Metafisica, al De coelo et mundo, al De generatione e corruptione, al Methaurorum e al De Anima. Tutto opera et ingenio di Paolo Veneto, agostiniano. Questo libro è il summum della logica medievale, la bibbia del sillogismo, l'aristotelismo più sagace fatto vivere dal più attivo dei seguaci di Averroè. C.E.: «In 1390 he is said to have been sent to Oxford for his studies in theology, but returned to Italy, and finished his course at Padua. He lectured in the University at Padua during the first quarter of the fifteenth century. His writings, aside from any question of their present worth, show a wide knowledge and interest in the scientific problems of his time».
